WHAT SIP DO I WANT?
SIP connections are the digital equivalent of a phone line. It can replace a traditional phone line and a customer can make and receive calls using the internet. A SIP connection is a digital means to connect your phone system to the internet to make calls, bypassing the traditional analogue telephone lines.
In many cases a customer can use their current ‘on premise’s phone system, with the help of their technician. Connection is possible via an IP card in the main equipment or an ATA box and removes the need to replace the entire phone system. This is particularly good solution where a customer has relatively new phone system equipment or where the internet connection is not sufficient to run a hosted PBX system.
Vonex Telecom is able to provision SIP channels two ways. One is via the Vonex PBX as a SIP Registration which actually allows some of our standard PBX functionality to be available to the end user, or we can provision it on our Vonex SIP Trunk which is ideal for customers with ‘on premises’ PABXs such as Asterisk, Avaya, Commander, NEC, Panasonic, Samsung and other similar PABXs. Below are some of the rules.
