Frequently asked questions about our Handset Rental Plans

Can a current customer have these plans?

Currently the handset rental plans are available only for new customers.

Can the Customer choose the contract length?

There is a minimum rental term of 36 months.

What happens at the end of the minimum contract term of 36 months?

If the customer wishes to remain with Vonex, nothing, they continue with the same plan.

What is the Early Termination Fee?

The ETF is 50% of the monthly rental times the number of months remaining on the contract term.

Can the customer choose not to have Direct Debit?

No. Handset rental plans must be set up with DD or the order will not be processed. A test DD may be required in some instances.

Can I mix and match the plans?

Yes within the rental plans you can choose different plans. The rental plan value dictates the handset supplied.

Can I choose different handsets for each plan?

No. There are specific handsets supplied for each plan.

What handsets are on each plan?

$25 plan, no handset- Vonex Desktop app is provided.

$30 Standard plan- Yealink T42S or customer can choose the W60P/56H

$40 Executive Plan- Yealink T46S

$50 Premium Plan- Yealink T48S or Conference CP960 (additional $500 payable)

Vonex Reserves the right to substitute similar spec phones for each plan.

When will handsets be shipped?

As soon as the order is complete, account is set up and credit check is done, no waiting for hardware payments!

What if the customer orders extra accessories or switches?

Extra equipment will be invoiced and need to be paid for upfront as per the current process, and shipping of all phones and equipment will then be shipped.

Does the customer own the handset?

No. this is a handset rental plan. Vonex owns the handsets.

What if the handset is faulty?

As the handset is owned by Vonex, Vonex will replace or repair the handset for the duration that the customer remains with Vonex.

What happens with the handsets if the customer leaves Vonex?

The handsets belong to Vonex and are to be returned in working order within 30 days. If they are not returned within that time frame or are faulty, the customer will be invoiced for the handset at the following rate, $250 for the Standard handset, $300 for the Executive handset and $400 for the Premium handset.

What if a customer doesn’t want the handset rental plans?

All current plans are still available and they can purchase handsets under the standard Vonex plans.

When does this promotion expire?

COB April 30th 2019 unless withdrawn earlier and/or extended.

What about the Vonex Mobile App promo?

All extensions can have this for Free for 12 months, then they will be charged at $5 per month after this.
