ASUS N55U - ADSL

The interface of the ASUS N55U modem is generally accessed via 192.168.1.1

If the modem detects disconnected cables it will launch a browser page to tell you:

Basic Setup

If the modem is in default mode it will prompt you to setup an access password

You will be prompted to setup an interface access password

Once you have setup the interface password we recommend that you select the main page 

The next screen will ask you to setup your WiFi settings, please ensure that you use a secure password

You will be prompted to confirm your WiFi settings

Every time you make a major change the modem will reboot

Once on the modem main page select WAN to configure the ADSL

Standard Vonex ADSL settings are as follows:
VPI: 8
VCI: 35
Protocol: PPPoE
Encapsulation: LLC SNAP

You will need to change the VPI and VCI in the WAN settings 

Scroll down and enter your username and password provided by Vonex and select Save

Disabling SIP ALG

We recommend that you disable SIP ALG within your modem by selecting:
WAN > NAT Passthrough
Set SIP Passthrough to Disable and Apply
