This guide details how to setup the TP-Link TD-VG5612 modem router for the following connection types: ADSL, Fibre to the Node and Fibre to the Building

The interface of the TP-Link TD-VG5612 modem is generally accessed via 192.168.1.1

You can also access the interface by http://tplinkmodem.net

Basic Setup

If the modem is in default mode the interface username/password will be admin/admin

Once logged in you will be redirected to the Device Info page, click Quick Setup from the left hand menu

The TP-Link Archer VR500v modem is suitable for ADSL and also Fibre to the Node (VDSL) connections with or without VLAN Tagging, please confirm your connection settings with Vonex staff before proceeding

The below screen indicates Fibre to the Node without VLAN Tagging

The below screen indicates Fibre to the Node with VLAN Tagging

The below screen indicates ADSL

On the next page enter your username and password provided by Vonex and select Next

The next page will ask if you wish to setup 3G/4G backup, unless you have a dongle and know its specific settings we recommend that you leave this option un-ticked

The next screen will ask you to confirm your WiFi settings, these are already set by default to match the information on the sticker at the bottom of your modem so do not need to be changed at this time

The next page is VoIP setup which is supported by Vonex but is not covered in this basic guide, select Next at the bottom of the page to continue the Quick Setup

You will then be redirected to the summary page, check your settings and click Save

Click Finish to complete the Quick Setup

For security purposes we recommend that you change the interface password under
System Tools > Manage Control

Disabling SIP ALG

We recommend that you disable SIP ALG within your modem by selecting:
Network > ALG Settings
Un-tick SIP ALG and Save
