This guide details how to setup the TP-Link TD-VG5612 modem router for the following connection types: ADSL, Fibre to the Node and Fibre to the Building
The interface of the TP-Link TD-VG5612 modem is generally accessed via 192.168.1.1
You can also access the interface by http://tplinkmodem.net
Basic Setup
If the modem is in default mode the interface username/password will be admin/admin
Once logged in you will be redirected to the Device Info page, click Quick Setup from the left hand menu
The TP-Link Archer VR500v modem is suitable for ADSL and also Fibre to the Node (VDSL) connections with or without VLAN Tagging, please confirm your connection settings with Vonex staff before proceeding
The below screen indicates Fibre to the Node without VLAN Tagging
The below screen indicates Fibre to the Node with VLAN Tagging
The below screen indicates ADSL
On the next page enter your username and password provided by Vonex and select Next
The next page will ask if you wish to setup 3G/4G backup, unless you have a dongle and know its specific settings we recommend that you leave this option un-ticked
The next screen will ask you to confirm your WiFi settings, these are already set by default to match the information on the sticker at the bottom of your modem so do not need to be changed at this time
The next page is VoIP setup which is supported by Vonex but is not covered in this basic guide, select Next at the bottom of the page to continue the Quick Setup
You will then be redirected to the summary page, check your settings and click Save
Click Finish to complete the Quick Setup
For security purposes we recommend that you change the interface password under
System Tools > Manage Control
Disabling SIP ALG
We recommend that you disable SIP ALG within your modem by selecting:
Network > ALG Settings
Un-tick SIP ALG and Save
