This guide covers the following soft phones:
- Bria 4 Desktop and Mobile versions
- Media5 Mobile version
You will need the following for any soft phone registration
- Domain
- Extension Number
- SIP Password
These details are supplied by Vonex Telecom
Bria 4 Desktop Edition
The Bria desktop edition allows for many options including visibility and instant messaging however Vonex Telecom only supports SIP calls, the following is a guide to setting up Bria to work with your Hosted IP solution.
First you will need to access your Account Settings page
Your account name can be anything you like
The following must be ticked for the program to work correctly
Allow this account for: Call
Register with domain and receive calls
User ID: Your extension number
Domain: Your Hosted IP domain
Password: Your SIP Password
You may also find you need to change your transport layer to get registration and two way voice on some networks, Vonex Telecom recommends that you only use either TCP or UDP
Once registered your Bria will show as follows
You should now be able to make a receive calls
Bria Mobile Edition
To setup the mobile app select the settings icon
Then select the Accounts menu
If no accounts are setup you can select Add Account
The account type will be SIP
Username: Your extension number
Domain: Your Hosted IP domain
Password: Your SIP Password
If you need to change the transport layer select Account Advanced
You may find you need to change your transport layer to get registration and two way voice on some networks, Vonex Telecom recommends that you only use either TCP or UDP
Once registered your Bria will show as follows
You should now be able to make a receive calls
Media5 Mobile Edition
To setup Media5 select the settings menu from the app
Then Configure SIP Accounts
Add a new account
Username: Your extension number
Password: Your SIP Password
Select servers to setup the domain
Domain: Your Hosted IP domain
On the Servers page you can also change your transport layer
You may find you need to change your transport layer to get registration and two way voice on some networks, Vonex Telecom recommends that you only use either TCP or UDP
Once registered your Bria will show as follows
You should now be able to make a receive calls
